“Inherent Vice” Tidbits

Anxious for Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Inherent Vice” to hit theaters? Early screening sources relay wonderful things about the film, saying it will likely go down as one of their “top favorites” by PTA. Boasting it to be a 2½ hour epic filled with psychedelic music clashed with grainy beautiful cinematography, it’s said the comprehensive plot is presented as both understandable and enjoyable.

Joaquin Phoenix takes the starring role as drug-fueled detective Doc Sportello (shown above), in search of his missing ex-girlfriend, while Owen Wilson portrays Coy Harlingen, a junkie musician that faked his own death. Also featuring the talents of Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, Reese Witherspoon, and Martin Short.

Inherent Vice will be in theaters December 12, 2014.

We’ll Finally Get To See “You Are Here”

You Are Here stars Owen Wilson as sleazy weatherman Steve Dallas, and Zach Galifianakis as his goofy best friend Ben Baker. The film will finally be viewable to a general audience, after several months being put on the back burner. The movie premiered at a film festival last September and mostly disappeared after that, but rumor has it that Millenium will give the film a limited theatrical release simultaneously with a Video On Demand option in late August. The film follows the tale of two best friends that go on a road trip to inherit a significant sum of inheritance left behind by Ben’s estranged father. Labeled as a “Dramedy” the film also features Amy Poehler, Melissa Rauch and Jenna Fischer, directed by Matthew Weiner of “Mad Men” fame.
